The First Move

So, as usual the frequency at which I write these is severely lacking. I should try to write more.

A significant thing has happened since the last post, I’ve moved! I moved out of my parents house, after roughly 26 years of living there (I’m 28, the first two years we lived in an apartment). Continue reading “The First Move”

Falling into Fallout 1

When Fallout 4 came out I thought it’d be nice to try starting a lets-play of it alongside my Minecraft series. I lowered the frequency of videos from that series to make room for a new one and started playing and recording.

I quickly noticed that my computer didn’t enjoy running Fallout 4 and recording at the same time, just like it’s been having trouble with Minecraft (although not quite that bad).

Not having enough money for a new computer I powered through it and kept playing. But eventually a friend tells me he thinks I should suspend the series until I can fix my computer to be able to run it properly.
He also suggests I should play Fallout 1 instead. And having built up a buffer of Fallout 4 videos to last a while I thought about it while the buffer ran through.

Past the 100th episode

It’s a new year! I changed the theme of this blog to one that was created for the new 2016 version of WordPress called “Twenty Sixteen”. I like it.

A bunch of things has happened since the last post. I’ve published over a hundred episodes of the Minecraft lets-play, I’ve started another lets-play series of Fallout 4, which then got suspended, replaced by a lets-play of the original Fallout. It’s fun.

Dreams of Lets Plays

I started my first Lets Play series 1 month 15 days 9 hours 55 minutes 33 seconds ago.

I have published 23 episodes so far, with 5 more uploaded and ready to be published right this moment!

It’s been fun so far! Even thought I’ve died more than 100 times over 29 episodes, but that’s just something that happens in Minecraft. You die. A lot. Especially with the set of mods I have, specifically IguanaTweaks, the combat is very different from normal Minecraft.

You really cannot fight by backing away from your enemy. And the terrain matters immensely.

Modded Minecraft LetsPlay Series Go!

I’m starting a modded Minecraft lets play series! It’s sort of exciting, trying new things!

I have no idea how it’ll go. It might fail spectacularly. I’m used to making one-shot tutorials and instructional videos. I’ve never done a longer series before.

My biggest worry is maintaining a steady pace of one video every other day, which should be about 3 videos per week. Hopefully I’ll be able to maintain a backlog of at least 4 videos or so to ensure a steady pace!

I recorded the introduction yesterday where I listed the mods I’ll be using and showed what some of them do.
